Small group of chunks with weird loading, no listed incompatible mods/shaders
you can see theres transparent blocks and a whole missing chunk of the world, tried tweaking settings but made the problem worse or couldnt fix. any help would be much appreciated

the problem was in fact the BSL shaders for transparent chunks, and the vertical quality for missing chunks/weird blocky lines without shaders

I think that is overdraw prevention
vanilla chunks should havew filled that hole
Can you send a screenshot without the shader?
It it is overdraw prevention:
- best fix is to make vanilla chunks load faster:
- lower vanilla RD
- install performance mods such as:
- Noisium
- Faster Random
- Lithium
- second best is to tune the overdraw prevention setting
Normally located in DH settigns, but shaders override it so look in sheder settings
No matter that, DH is working as it should
diff area, but same problem still occurs

Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
i dont have chunky but i have this if its similar?
i do have distant generation on
other performance mods are noisium, modernfix, ferritecore, entity culling aswell if those can cause issues
but i didnt see anything about em in the faqs
It is nit similar per se, but that is a jackpot
Try removing it and regenerating your LODs
Those should be fine
Removing C2ME might even give you 30% boost to LOD generation and loading speed

You can also try in a new world after removing C2ME
That also happens to me on wynncraft
unfortunately that didnt help
ima try turning off the texture pack temporarily to see if thats the issue
it is not
It might be related to shaders
already tried turning them off didnt help
and theyre listed as compatible anyway
I think there are 2 separate issues from those 2 screenshots
1 is overdraw prevention
2 are holes
i tried looking in both my shader and DH settings for overdraw prevention, but wasnt able to find anything
also tried lowering render distance but that just made the problem worse
The water texture goes over the holes
So it’s not that it isn’t loading
That might be cave culling then

If your shader does no allow for overdraw prevention, only thing you can do is change the shader
its bsl
is the setting literally called "overddraw prevention" or can it go by another name
IDK what shader devs call it, it can be named

im using BSL btw
couldnt find any setting like that in shaders but turned it down by .1 from .4 to 0 in DH, still same issue
turned off shaders aswell and still same issue
turning render disance down just makes the gltiching appear closer to me
can you send a new screenshot with shaders disabled?

thats w/ low render distance
look at those weird lines of blocks
thats not in the actual map lol
Increase vertical quality or the whole quality preset
That is just how DH works
turned settings up to extreme, still got see through chunks w/ shaders but without them it looks normal now
ig ill just have to find some different shaders
I use bliss DH
So I guess I just have to do the setting
But I don’t think the underwater holes are the same issue

dont use BSL ig
