Looking for a comfortable pair of shoes to wear to the office that are something between oxfords or running shoes <$150

@Leo (Yakkeks) advice is good. I’d personally start with a pair of burgundy penny or tassel loafers, and mid-brown derbies.
Alternate which ones you wear daily and use unfinished cedar shoe trees between wears to extend the life of the life of the shoe. At that price point, eBay is definitely the way to go. Allen Edmonds and Church’s are both good brands available at around the 50-100 price point. Don’t take any of this as gospel, it’s just what I’d do in the same situation

Can you provide advice or insight as to what to look for in a good pair of second hand loafers? Is it mostly heel wear and condition of leather?
That's what I look at plus if the sides are blown out (structure of the shoe walls curving away from the ankle)
