No, you shouldn't. Its slower and results in issues when used with DH's Distant generation

I already asked the admins and they wanted to know if paper is supported

There's a plugin for that as well.
Do note that it's still experimental, so having it running on an active server is not advised.

It's all in the pinned message in that thread. The client needs the mod, whereas the server uses whatever the server is powered by.
