Linen Suit Wrinkles
Hey all
I’m wearing a linen suit to a summer garden wedding. The shit is wrinkled just from me putting it on once after alterations. Should I bother dewrinkling it? It’s going to crease the second I put it on anyways.
If I do try and dewrinkle it, would a steamer work? If not, what is best practice?
Bonus Question: Is it safe to dry clean?

Can I get away with a steamer
yeah

Derek Guy does not recommend steaming jackets or leaving them in the bathroom with the shower running on hot. This was news to me! https://x.com/dieworkwear/status/1824461891357348146

this is also the reason why you never want to steam your suit or leave it in a steamy bathroom. look at the puckering along the edge of the lapel and around the chest. this damage from steam can be permanent. compare to the newer suit he wore at NABJ. no puckering.
