clear LOD's
when I'm looking down from this hill I'm seeing clear chunks. this is only with shaders, however it doesn't matter what shaders I'm using, BSL, complementary, etc its al giving me this weird clear looking lod and its kinda annoying.

That is overdraw prevention
what is that
DH works as intended, the hole you see should be filled with vanilla chunks
DH renders its LODs on top of vanilla chunks, so for you to see the vanilla chunks a sphear is being cut out
Normally you can tune the overdraw prevention in DH settings, but shader override it, so you would need to check in shader settings
Best fix would be to make the vanilla chunks load in time though
ohh okay so i either fix shader settings or up my render distants
You can try:
- reducing your vanilla RD
- installing mods:
- Noisium
- Faster Random
- Lithium
Faster Random works with froge using syntra connector
Lithium has a forge port
As a last resort you can also try the mod C2ME, it will help vanilla chunks load faster, but can hurt DH LOD loading and generation speed by up to 3-%
alr alr ill do these then
When you increase your vanilla RD, you will increase the sphear, so there willl be more vanilla chunks to load, and you already have a problem now.
But if you don't move too much that may increase the number of loaded chunks, creating a buffer of sort
yh i just saw, it just moves the thingy farter and makes my pc explode lmao
Decreasing the RD is usually the fix, but I've seen users who fixed it enough by increasing the RD
nahh ive just tried upping and lowering the render distants bu sadly those dont work, im dowloading the mods now
If the mods won't work, you are lest with shader overdrav prevention setting
some shaders have such settings
most of them do not
I know that Simply Upscaled has a smart (dynamic) overdraw prevention. but it is not the best looking shader in my opinion
alr alr, uhmm i cant add lithium and faster random cus either they dont fit my version or its not for forge cus i dont see them
ohh wait nvm
not looking farter then my nose
@Miki_P98 lithium doenst seem to be available anymore
Solution
There is an unofficial Lithium port for forge
And Faster Random is a fabric mod that can run on forge via a mod syntra connector
Ohh okay makes sense ima try that then in a bit
yes, this was the solution, ive installed this and using BSLshaders it still glitched but when i switcheed to complementary shaders the problem is fixed, thanks allot man!
