Clear Mountain Sides?
Mostly visible around the sides of mountains, the world generation becomes see through. If I increase my render distance to 20+ (I normally play at 12) it covers the clear chunks and resolves the problem, but tanks my fps (due to shaders and higher render distance). I am using BSL shaders and a lot of mods (most of them should be irrelevant to this issue). Is there a way to bring the LOD rendering closer to my character, or any other way to fix this issue? I can list installed mods if needed, though they consist of mods like iris, lithosphere, and chunky.

Does this happen without the shader?
No. This happens when I am a certain distance away from the chunks with the BSL shaders active. Flying around in creative at a high altitude causes all chunks near me, and inside my render distance to have this same invisible effect.
There is some sort of disagreement between where my render distance ends and the LOD generation/rendering begins.
This I believe is overdraw and playing with the overdraw prevention or just turning it on will probably fix this
Overdraw should be a perfect sphear and here you can see chunks edges
It acts like one though
That is why I'm confused
If it happends only with shaders, you can contact Iris or BSL devs
If it really is an overdraw prevention this hole shoiuld be filed with vanilla chunks
does it get filled if you wait?
If yes, DH works as intended, but the vanilla chunks can't load in time
Best fix would be to make vanilla chunks load in faster
You can try:
- decreasing your vanilla RD
- installing mods:
- Noisium
- Faster Random
- Lithium
As a last resort you can also try C2ME, it will speed up vanilla chunk loading, but can hurt DH generation and loading speed by >30%
Second best fix is to tune the overdraw prevention
normally done in DH settings, but shaders override it
So look in shader settings
@Kotes Is your issue fixed?
If so could you please add the solved tag to your post thanks!
