I believe its the LODs leading to a weird infinite array of distant mountiains and such. Im running bliss shaders and DH on 1.20.1

is there a way, or a mod, to preload chunks? because LODS seem to work well once its loaded, which i would be fine with honestly, but itd be nice to have more LODs

Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
There are mods to o that, but all of them will result in the same issues
Currently chunky (and other) match the speed on the included DH generator

But in the next DH release, the included DH generator should be ~50% faster then chunky (and others)

Surface is no trees and no structures (villages, towers, etc.)
