Weird glitch when using a shader pack (bliss)
Sometimes blocks that I look at appear in the sky whenever I move my camera.

Like those are jungle trees that I looked at and it just fills all the spaces without blocks
But when I turn the shader off the render distance goes back to my normal 32 chunks and not more

What is your modlist?
Only simple voice chat and distant horizons
Well you also have to have Sodium and Iris for shaders to work
Will that 4 be all of them?
Yeah
/slowgen
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)try the second part
Also while at it you can try installing mods:
- Noisium
- Faster Random
- Lithium
Or their Forge equivalent to speed up the generation
I have cpu load on 'I paid for the whole CPU'
I'll do the second one right now
fixed the sky but there is still fog
/logstored
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link./fog
You can remove fog in the config at Graphics > Fog options > Disable vanilla fog or with mods like Sodium Extras, Optifine or some other fog removal mod.
Bliss has its own fog settings
take a look there
Ah alright
How can I make the render distance further?
It looks like it's still 32 chunks
First reduce vanilla RD to 2 to see if any DH LODs show up (best to send screenshot of that)
/config
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
On the main DH config screen there is a RD field
Also max recommended vanilla RD with DH is 16
I set it to 2 and 16 and they both were just like vanilla
Can you send logs?
Oh it's working now
all good
sorry
Thanks for fixing the other issues. I just had to reload my game for the render to work
