dawn craft with DH
so trying to use DH with dawn craft and it just isn’t loading chunks beyond what my render distance is set at, any ideas?

Is dawncraft a modpack?
If so, does it include Alex caves? If so, did you apply the Alex caves fix?

yea it is a mod pack, i’ll have a look
there’s alex’s mobs and alex’s delight
but not caves
So just to get it clear. It is showing DH chunks, but not doing any distant generation?

If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive settings of CPU Load. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering and Show World Gen Queue to True.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)Try the second part
its not showing any dh chunks, only seeing whats in my render distance

and here everything is more compact but you do have to click occasionally
Most probably a mod incompatibility
You can try /binary search
Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
The problem ive learned is it comes with shaders by default and if toggled off the mod will work it uses Oculus in forge and im not sure my self how to fix it but ive sure have been trying
i took a look and it seems dawncraft is only for 1.18.2?
you need 1.20.1+ for shader support
dawn craft dosent have a version available for that i guess that means no dh with shaders but vanilla for dawncraft looks real bad
