Ability to pick scatter objects from disk instead of from scene
Working with scatter tools would be a lot cleaner if there was an option to load assets from disk instead of from the scene.

Do you mean that you would like an easy way to scatter an asset you may have in a Windows folder somewhere but it aint' added to the current UE project?
So an easy way to import and scatter directly without having to first import the asset and then scatter it, more or less?
Are you aware that if you have added some assets to one UE project and then tagged them with Dash so they appear in the Dash Content Library, those assets are now viewable, searchable, and useable through the Dash Content Library in all other UE projects as well? Meaning you can drag and drop and direct scatter assets, without needing to import them firstly into the new UE project.
@DanielFreden What he means is scattering objects without adding them in the scene, so they'd be in the project, just not in the scene yet.
@Slingerbult That is in the plans 🙂 I agree that it's uneeded to have objects hiding in the scene just so you scatter. UE's foliage doesn't do it, neither does PCG, and neither should we.
Thanks for the answer. Yes, I was thinking of the ability to scatter objects in the project, but not in the scene. Good to know! 👍
