Mod 'Distant Horizons' (distanthorizons) 2.1.3-a-dev requires version 1.21.0 of 'Minecraft'
Keep getting this error when booting up Minecraft after installing fabric loader 1.21.1 version. Every other mod I installed is compatible with version 1.21.1, including this mod (I downloaded the most recent version). However, I'm getting an error seemingly saying that this mod requires an older version of Minecraft even though I thought this most recent version was compatible with MC 1.21.1.

Had the same problem yesterday. This helped me.
Thank you so much! Let me try this now. Just cannot locate the config folder under .minecraft/ for whatever reason.
I checked and I don't seem to have a /config folder. Is there any program I need to have to have this folder populate? I checked some different forums online where others could not locate their /config folder but it wasn't very helpful.

Sorry, not sure about that since I had the config folder there. Try just making it.
I think fabric creates it?
Hm unfortunately did not work. I'll have to keep messing with it.
I created a text file named "fabric_loader_dependencies.json" in a /config folder that I just created. I added the following to the json file.
{
"version": 1,
"overrides": {
"distanthorizons": {
"-depends": {
"minecraft": "1.21"
}
}
}
}
I then ran minecraft. I still get this error:

I'm using fabric on modrinth. Also tried following the steps after that were suggested to " un zip the mod and edit the version check inside" but none of the mods seem to be zip folders. All executable jar files.
I'm very new to this so apologies lol
No worries.
I've never unzipped anything for Minecraft.
FWIW, this is what's in my config folder:
And in my iris-reserved:
Gotcha, thanks for sharing. I wonder when the config file gets generated. Perhaps after opening fabric for the first time? Maybe I could just skip the distant horizons mod to open fabric for the first time and then it would generate the /config folder? And then I could try readding the distant horizons mod to the /mods folder + creating that text file in the /config file if needed.

The config folder indeed gets made on first boot
Thanks! I saw that it did get created after first boot. However, I'm still unfortunately getting these errors:
I followed the steps in the prior thread of creating a text file named "fabric_loader_dependencies.json" in the /config folder. I added the following to the json file.

Here are the mods I have in the mods/ folder:

Update: I got minecraft to run by reinstalling minecraft on the Modrinth app launcher. I installed version 1.20.1 because that's the only version that I could make work with Iris.
The game now runs great but does anyone know how to increase RAM usage on the game through the Modrinth app launcher? I see in the settings bar you can increase your RAM usage under "Java memory" but I guess I'm wondering if this is increasing memory on the game or for the actual launcher? Assuming the game lol but wasn't quite sure because I'm getting a crazy input lag.
Did you installed Forge or Fabric? I can use DH with no problems on Forge but not on Fabric with client 1.20.1
I ended up using Fabric and it worked with version 1.20.1
It works even with shaders but the things is it will display some chunks glitched, specially on water areas
while on Forge it displays all LOD chunks correctly
Shader support is official only on fabric
Usually Oculus has more bugs
I am having issues on Fabric and I have only the bug there, on Forge there are no issues with or without shaders
