Distant Horizons creates huge log files again and again neoforge
I am using Distant Horizons with Iris Sodium, and when I join a server, Minecraft launcher and folder, both creates log files that are 15 to 20 GB in size. Even if I delete them, it creates new files again in 5 to 10 minutes. What should I do? My Minecraft version is 1.21 Neoforge

That problem was fixed in a recent commit to iris iirc

I'm not sure if the logging is from DH or from Iris, but you could try disabling error logging inside DH's Settings until a new Iris Alpha releases
by the way i m using distant horizons 2.1.3
with iris
I had disabled Distant Horizons and it was working fine, but as soon as I enabled it again, the issue started occurring
I'm not sure what you're expecting. I told you the problem was already fixed, you just have to wait for a new Iris Alpha and I told a potential temporary fix for the log spam
Okay
Bro, can you clarify which options Error Logging is under in the Distant Horizons settings?
DH Settings ->
Advanced Options
-> Logging
. Not sure which exact option it isIf you find out the option, then please let me know because I have no idea about the settings of DHs. By the way thanks
he found the option
he even gave you its location
I know, but there is also too many options in logging ->
Turn off every one of them
Yes i already done that
Hijacking to ask if this has been confirmed to be fixed? Encountering this as well even after turning off everything in DH settings.
I get a bunch of
Feature placement
error spamDo you have any structure mods?
I just noticed that after letting my game create a HUGE log file to fill up my drive, it crashes and when I log in after deleting it my Advancements are reset to 0. Don't know if that has anything to do with the problem or just a crash related issue.
Also getting this error.
Most likely a crash issue or some other mod issue.
Once I had a modpack on 1.16.5 on forge (no DH) and the Advancements were reseting pretty frequently even with no crashing
For this just restart the game
Aah I guess I'll have to back up my Advancements file. Still, the problem with the ever piling Log file is the main issue I'm having
Nope just JJTTM
Well, then you can't fix it
It should not affect much
If you don't see obvious holes in generated stuctures you're good
oh I just heard it's JJTTM's nonexistent optimization 😂😂
I'm getting a similar problem as well
I had installed the new version of Distant Horizons along with latest Iris Sodium, so the issue was resolved.
