Dh won't load new LOD chunks
hello, so i have distant horizons enabled, high quality settings and 'i paid for the whole cpu' mode. when in my world, it generates a bit, then suddenly stops, and it only loads new LOD chunks when i move, while unloading other, basically like minecraft does with normal chunks. however, even setting the limit to a bigger number doesn't seem to help, it's still stuck at a certain radius and won't generate further

Are you on a server?
no, singleplayer
Try the second part of what the bot says
/slowgen
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)there are some red and blue boxes chowing up
does that mean it is trying to render them?
my cpu is at 70-80% btw
it means it tries to generate them

Does everything checks out?
Do the LODs show when shaders are disabled?
turning shaders off doesn't change anything sadly
i have sodium 0.5.11, iris 1.7.2, indium 1.0.34 and distant horizons 2.1.2
oh and i'm using bliss shader so it should be compatible
Where did you download it?
Only the in-dev version fom GitHub works
.
What is your modlist?
/logstore
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.i have the latest version available on modrinth
It won't work then
why?
it worked a few days ago though, or maybe i just didn't realize it wasn't loading everything
The DH support in Bliss is not released yet
So the Modrinth version does not have it
Only the in-dev/"beta"/"alpha" has the DH support
i see, i'll try downloading the correct version then
You should be able to see everything as far as the furthest blue and red boxes
alright well after installing latest alpha version it didn't work at first but restarting the world fixed it it seems
thanks
