Chunk LOD errors at night and day
Chunks appear light or dark at night or day respectively, including with shaders on. Reminiscence modpack. There are some lighting changes, but I'm not sure what.

With shaders, newly generated LODs appear completely dark.
Do you meet all of these requirements?

This is a forge pack, and yes.
So you have oculus and embeddium? And a compatible shaderpack?
yes
Oculus 1.7.0 and Embeddium 0.3.28
Do you have starlight installed? Or used to have it installed on this world
no
Another light engine mod?
Other than Canary no, and I know Canary works with DH
Since I use it elsewhere
Can you send logs? I doubt it includes anything useful but I cant think of anything else
/logsstored
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.Reminiscence does change the lighting to some extent, but I have no idea how
It reverts lighting to pre-beta looks; but there isn't a mod that does it so I'm not sure what's going on
Could you try in a new world without reminiscence?
It's a modpack
Yeet it out
From the mods folder
And yes, I use DH normally with another modpack that has 320 mods
It's a modpack
Not a mod
A collection of mods
Ooh
Sorry, misunderstood
Np
it's by Bbali, has no github
I have no idea what half of the mods in your mods folder do, but I don't see anything weird in there
Would've talked to them otherwise
Yea, that sucks
Neither do I, and I use most of them in aforementioned 320 pack
Joined their dc, not expecting much
nvm instant answer
They use Nostalgia Tweaks, which ports the beta lighting
Could you try DH 2.1.0 and see if that fixes the black chunks?
Sure
naw
well
maybe just with shaders on
Looks normal without
Using Shrimple
Well actually I think that's a shadow
What do you mean?
Other lods and the shading looks correct
So it's fixed now?
Without shaders
With shaders
It looks broken on the right, but the shading into the left, where it's brighter, is correct
I think it's just shaded, which looks odd
Maybe there is a cloud shadow or something like that?
You could try a different shader
oh no, nvm it's doing the same thing as earlier
Might try complimentary. Shrimple just looks the most vanilla
And performs 2x as good
Too bad it got discontinued
Or Rethinking Voxels oo
Shrimple? Nah, Null's still working on it
Huh
Did it get unarchived again?
Yea
I just downloaded the main version from 4 days ago
Had a 2 mo old version prior
Null is removing RT from it and recoding Arc from scratch. This is news from his own keyboard that's 40min old
Oooh, nice. It's also not marked as archived anymore on modrinth
Same error with RV btw
No errors without shaders, so your hunch was half right
Hhmmm, I don't know then
Sorry
That's fine. Probably doing a compatibility patch for Nostalgia Tweaks would fix it
Yeah, you could test if it is indeed caused by that mod, and if so, make a #suggestions
I did find that turning off the lighting system completely fixed the chunk errors with 2.1.0a
I think it's the entire rendering that Nostialgic Tweaks adds
if you still have issues, just delete the sqlite file in saves/[world name]/data folder. I loaded up the world again and then let DH run to load up the LODs and now it works flawlessly.
