Black LOD ring (Solved)
I have this ring of black LOD renders that only happens in this specific world I already had. I have looked through my mods to find any incompatible rendering engine mods/light rendering mods like it says to check for in the FAQ and was not able to find any. Are any of these mods known incompatibilities or is there some other solution that I don't know of? I have deleted and reinstalled the mod multiple times as well as wiped the saved LOD data and it still is not fixed. Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't think that it would be a mod compatibility issue since I'm using the same mods on other world and I'm having no issues there, but I'm at a loss at this point for what it could be otherwise.
Did you ever at some point have starlight installing while playing in this world?
Or was the world ever on a paper of folia server
Yeah I originally had starlight on there. Will that still create issues even if I've reinstalled DH since taking it off?
No it's always been a single player world
Yes, Starlight permamently "corrupts" vanilla chunks
so you would have to update all the chunks saved with it installed, now when you don't have it
Of course it does ðŸ˜
How would I update the saved chunks? Is it somewhere in the settings of the mod?
Yo can try, opening the world settings and optimising it (it is a vanilla feature)
But I can't guarantee it will work
You may be forced to go to every affected chunk and place/destroy a block in it to force an update
Ah ok. Even if that's the fix, that's not a big deal for how small my issue is. Thanks for the help!
There is an alternative,
you can switch the DH version to 2.1.0 because it did not have the optimalisation that caused it to be incompatible with Starlight
or move to nightly 2.1.3 as in this version the optimalisation became a toggle able option (disabled by default)
Interesting. I'll probably just try to update each chunk manually but if that doesn't work then I'll go for downgrading. Wonder why starlight causes so many issues on the new system
-# Edit: question was:
-# Is there a big change between 2.1.0 and the current version? Not big enough to worry about it
Good to know. Thanks!
No problem!
I just want to thank you all here. I came across this error, and you helped me.
