The problem is that distant chunks are not generating?
The problem is that there are holes in the world?
Yes, the chunks don't want to load, I don't understand. Even when I stay still for a while, it doesn't change anything.
What is your cpu load at in dh's settings?
dh's ?
Distant horizons' settings
You can access them via the button next to the fov sloderu
I paid for the whole CPU
No matter how much I change, it doesn't make a difference.
You said you stayed still for a while waiting for the holes to disappear. Did you do that while standing inside where the hole would be?
No, I stay outside the hole. When I get closer, it loads, but compared to videos or others, it used to load the chunks around them immediately.
The videos are from people in singleplayer.
In singleplayer, DH can generate new chunks outside of your vanilla render distance. In multiplayer, DH can only show chunks you've been to.
What i suspect has happened, is that you moved too quickly over the terrain, so that DH didn't have enough cpu time to generate the fake chunks, causing the holes.
You should be able to fix the holes by having cpu load at "I paid for the whole cpu", and moving over the holes
Alright, are there any mods that can help me fix all these problems?
No, you just have to do what the last sentence tells you and it should work
Ok ok thanks
- Noisium
- Faster Random
Speed up world generation directly
Other optimalisation mods that will free up CPU for DH to use might also help, e.g.:
- Lithium
This is multiplayer though
…
They can still add it on both the server and client it won’t hurt
But yeah that won’t help in that case… sorry
