distant horizons doesn't work properly :C
I installed the mod recently, I wanted to log into my server but when I log in the mod it doesn't work, it's as if I didn't have it, I already explored a lot, I checked the list of mods that could be incompatible and so on, but it still doesn't work, can anyone help me?

You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link. Are you using shaders? If so, does it work with them disabled?
I already tried it with shaders and without shaders it was the first thing I reviewed
Did you apply the alexscaves fix?
#faq-mod-support
yes
Is there anything else I should do? or can I do? :C
Can you send a screenshot with vanilla render distance to 2
And does it work in singleplayer?
You explored while having DH installed or prior to installing it?
nop
before installing it and when installing it it also exposes a little
I will guess a unknown mod incompatibility
Can you try with only DH?
Also send the Alex's caves config to make sure it was edited correctly
/binary
Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
Do you use these mods to optimize? I don't know if any of them are incompatible. I read something about modernfix on some channel, so I deleted it but the problem still persisted.
The fix is not applied here
Try applying it again
This must be like this right?
yes
I think it already works but is that normal? ha ha
DH probably needs some time to render the chunks there. It should eventually fix itself
That happened to me a few months ago. There is also terrain around the world or sometimes dungeons or so on, but when you get closer they disappear?
DH generates terrain a bit differently than vanilla, so small mistakes like a structure here and a tree there can happen.
That is a little extreme though
That whole island doesn't actually exist if you fly to it?
Yep, all of those parts are sea, so to speak, there shouldn't be anything there.
Does it work if you make a new world with just dh? If so, it's probably some mod incompatibility, probably a world generation mod
I have mods for structures but for biomes as such, only biomes o plenty
Is there anything I can do from the advanced options?
Probably not no
You're not on a server right?
If I am on my server but alone it also usually happens
Did you rename the server to something else than "Minecraft Server" or not?
I mean in your servers list
Where you can rename a server to whatever you want
And the default is "Minecraft Server"
oh in this case it is changed it is not the minecraft server
Hhmm, that probably rules out the possibility that it is using the chunks from another server called the same
I really hope you have whitelist on btw, as this pic shows the ip of your server
You're not self hosting right?
I changed the name just in case and it doesn't work again
No, I have purchased an external server.
Well if you change the name, your LODs will be gone
In that pic I don't see any LODs at all.
Can you send another screenshot with a vanilla render distance of 2?
then can I make it spawn again? maybe with that repair?
Sorry?
That is weird, now no LODs are showing up at all
You are still on the same Minecraft instance as the one where you performed the Alex caves fix right?
Maybe deleting that LOD folder and generating a new one will fix it or something like that
You could try that yes

Single Player:
- Overworld:
.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Nether: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM-1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- End: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Custom Dimensions: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIMENSION_FOLDER/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
Multiplayer:
- .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
yup that's why it worked a moment ago
Is it okay to put it like this?
What do you mean?
What did you put like that?
No, I meant if that was normal.
Oh, that depends.
Did you walk from the chunks in the distance to where you are right now?
yes
I went to another place and when I turned around it looked like this?
Then you probably need to turn up cpu load on DH's settings
Yup I think everything is perfect now so the solution was to get used to the modpack? Does the first LOD fail? and this is fine, thank you very much
well first rename the server and then delete the folder
I am not sure what you are asking, can you rephrase the sentence?
