What does enable distant generation do
Asking becuase all villages that are within my DH range have lost all their villagers so was wondering if the village was being loaded in and zombies had like killed them or something

Distant generation allowes DH to generate LODs outside of your RD
All vanilla chunks generated this way by DH will be deleted to save space
Simulation distance slider in vanilla MC controls how far things can happen
Distant Horizons doesn't load chunks, it only generates/renders them, so DH isn't the cause
ah i see where abouts is the simulation distance slider
Its beneath the Render Distance Slider (not the DH one)
omg i see i acciedntly had that cranked to max no wonder my fps has been bad and villagers dead
