DH Unloading LODs within Render Distance
The video more or less sums up the issue - basically I have a 256 chunk render distance but moving around is unloading chunks that should still be within the render distance. This is only happening to "recently" generated LODs (If I relog then the chunks I've previously generated no longer have this issue, but any newly generated chunks have this issue again).
This is in Fabric 1.21, I've been using Fabric 1.20 for quite some time without these issues. This is on multiplayer, and I do have a large mod list but I don't believe any of them to be the cause here (I've already checked the available incompatibilities list).
Does anyone know what's causing this/how to fix it? Any help at all is deeply appreciated, thank you!

For me it alny happens in a fresh world that generates a lot of LODs at once, when I'm later playing the world and exploring slower I don't have this problem

try using the server side fork and pregen the lods with that

Seems like DH just cant keep up. Try increasing
CPU Load
inside DH's Settings and see if that helpsor decrease it if your CPU is at 100%
Sorry but CPU usage is around 15% with the aggressive setting, that clearly isn’t the issue. Nor is it a matter of lods being not generated, you can quite clearly see them load/unload as I get closer to it, even though it’s outside of the vanilla render distance indicating already generated
Something is causing DH to prematurely unload chunks within DH’s render distance, but I’m not entirely certain what. i’ll attempt reducing some of my other mods to see if one of them is the issue
Unfortunately this isn’t an option either, I don’t have access to the server and am using DH purely as a client side mod
only the highest quality level is always saved and generated, lower quality levels need to be calculated on the fly, so lower CPU usage might still be the problem
Restarting the game is the best fix I know of
Not the answer that I was hoping for but that does make sense, so basically the only sure-fire fix is to keep relogging everytime I generate new LODs to get the properly saved to disk?

hmm got it, so basically its just something Ill have to deal with at first but it should get better over time
Yes, at least for me
thanks a ton for the support! I'll mark this as solved. Really appreciate the beautiful mod and community you've all built!
not problem 😺
