Are you using the #Server-side support DH version?
Maybe the auto updater updated you back to normal DH
try redownloading the server version
The version from this?

This is a mod that adds a Level Of Detail (LOD) system to Minecraft. This implementation renders simplified chunks outside of the normal render distance allowing for an...
IDK, have not used it
There should be a pinned message with installation tutorial on the thread I sent link to
/logstored
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.Uhmm
I found the issue
The Server adress changed somehow after I uploaded the mod
I have a new problem now, my game crashes when I join the server
Should I make a new post for that?
You should
Something happened to the SQLite DB
make sure it is not read only, and non folders above it are read only
it that won't help, backup old LODs, and make DH regenerate them (either rename all DB files or move to different folder)
Huh
Whats that
/lodstore
Single Player:
- Overworld:
.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Nether: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM-1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- End: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Custom Dimensions: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIMENSION_FOLDER/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
Multiplayer:
- .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
Thing that stores the LODs
Ahh alright
And how do I do that?
right click the file/folder > more options > Properties > atributes
Uh where
Idk what that means in german
Seems like its not Read-Only
Okayy
I'll do this then
Are all my rendered LODS gone then?
Yes, they will be gone
Atribute at the bottom, one of the boxes should be named
read only
, or to be more precised, it should NOT be checkedYah thats disabled
I already rendered 1024 chunks
And on the server this takes like 5 hours
It it won't work after regenerating it is a different problem
so backup it first
Backup what?
The server?
the DB
/lodstore

.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite

but in the server's folder
From DH on my pc or from the DH mod on the server?
Sorry I am dumb
This ig?
I saved this now.
What do I have to do now?
if the old LODs on the server were removed, open the server again and see if the crash still happens
Do I have to delete the LODS from the server now or from my pc?
I deleted the file in Distant Horizons server data now and I still crash
I am crashing because of shaders actually
As soon as I enable one I crash

Does this all check out?
If the log and crash were from the client, client files, if they were from the server, the server DB
Yep, it was because I had the newest DH verison 2.1.3 and this version doesnt support shaders
Its working now but all my loaded chunks are gone
Maybe it created another overworld. Is your multiverse similarity at 0?
Uhm
What
In advanced, multiplayer
Yes
What does that mean now?
It's for compatebilaty with servers with multiple overworlds, where DH checks if a certain amount of blocks in a chunk are the same. If not, it creates a new overworld file.
Ohhh okay, interesting and is there a way to restore my LODs now? I still have the files
Was it ever at something else than 0?
Idk, never checked that setting
Then probably not
So that's probably not the problem
Can you, like Miki suggested, send logs?
Logs from when?
From the last time the client crashed

After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link. Its not crashing anymore because I downgraded the dh version
But I sent a log here
Oh right, I'm now mixing up problems, sorry
No problem :)
I have another problem. We can't enter the nether anymore. We are just stuck in the portal
I think I'm lost which problem is where
If you have the files, and thay were not the reason for the crash, you can put them back
I have deleted the current files from this folder and pasted the old ones in there but its not working
My current problem is the nether actually
