New to DH: Setting to increase normal Blocks around player

i am new to using DH, been a really big fan so far, but ive got a question: My PC can handle a lot more, how do i increase the distance the normal LODs (if thats the right word) are used instead of the less polygon versions? id be happy to see normal blocks a bit further out before they become "pixelated"

Increase your quality and also increase your vanilla render distance

i got it set to extreme.. is there a way to set render distance further than 32 in vanilla options? (might be a restriction with some other mod like sodium or something)

it is possible but not in vanilla MC, you can use: - NVIDIUM - FarSight - Bobby - Sodium extra first 2 (NVIDIUM and FarSight) will only keep the chunks beyond 32 RD after loading them yourself, it won't load any on their own, and NVIDUM does not work with shaders Sodium extra works only in singleplayer bobby works even on multiplayer but in single decreases your fps by up to 30% You can also tune the Noise texture and fog to make the fake chunks blend better see for fog results: #Make the fog cover first few visible DH chunk rows... see for noise tuning: #Increase default noise (both intensity and steps)

is it worth using bobby or farsight with DH? Dont they essentially do the same thing or overwrite eachother? Im using nvidium, did not know that was the issue for my shaders to not render as far as i could see :D thanks for that! Ill try to play around the fog and noise stuff, thanks!

They don't override each other, farsight and boddy extend vanilla terran, while DH creates the fake terrain. Bobby has the worst performance, but will load the chunks outside your vanilla RD, not only keep them. Recommended by vanilla RD without shaders with DH would be 16 or max 24 And without shader between 8 and 16 (I use 12) NVIDIUM should not cause that, it just disables itself when you enable shaders, you should be able to keep it nice! But most shaders override the noise texture and all of them override the fog :/

ah, so for my understanding: DH ONLY creates fake terrain and if i use bobby (which i used to always use) it creates the chunks around me and extends the vanilla generation. If i use both together, DH will only create fake chunks after where bobby ends with its generation? Do i have to consider anything so that there arent fake chunks on top of the bobby chunks? Or are the compatible without any special settings? Thanks a lot for ur help here

DH will generate fake chunks everywhere up to your DH RD in DH settings in single player and up to the server's/your vanilla RD (what is smaller) in multiplayer As bobby overrides the vanilla RD slider the overlap between bobby chunks and vanilla chunks should be still equal to what overdraw prevention is set, so no changes, a.k.a. it shoud just work fine
