Bigger best quality blocks radius? - 1.21 [Fabric]
(Sorry if this type of question was already answered but I couldn't find it.)
I would like to have bigger best quality blocks radius while playing on multiplayer server with shaders on client side, however I don't see where can I increase it more then I already have:
LOD Dropoff Distance to "Extreme",
CPU usage to "Aggresive",
Vanilla render settings to max = 32
Minecraft RAM Memory usage set to: 8000 MB
Is there a way to change it within Distant Horizons mod?

I think I got it, the Bobby has strange multiplier while using DH in render radius (for example setting 16 render radius gives around 48 render radius effecively no idea why) so when I had setting of 64 render radius Bobby was trying to show much more then and it was overwritting what DH would show that far and was showing nothing (meaning I wasnt in that part of map while having Bobby turned on and it didnt have that data)

/config
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
Instead of using presets
you can enter radius in blocks and radius per LOD lever multiplayer by hand
hmm
where exactly in the config file?
is this in the DistantHorizons.toml?
or in other config file?
should I just instead of extreme type number?
typing number instead of extreme did not do the trick
?
im not sure how to make it go past extreme, but why do you want it past extreme?
I would like to have bigger radius of best quality blocks to see details of buildings from longer distance currently Distant Horizons only show best quality blocks only for 32 render radius, anything further is simplified. I was just looking for option to incresae best quality radius to about 64 and then anything further simplified.
I think it might be caused by the server max render distance 32
aaaah
you need bobby for that
and then edit bobby's config file
I tried combining Bobby with DH to achieve this but around 64 where Bobby radius ended the area of emptiness was visible and behind this emptiness DH simplified blocks or chunks
what do you mean with the area of emptiness? can you send a screenshot perhaps?
if you are using a shader that does not let you tune overdraw prevention, there is not much you can do

hhmm alright, then i dont know how you can have a larger render distance on the server than 32
I mean now it works
Bobby shows around 64 on 24 render radius setting (best quality blocks) and past that DH creates simplified blocks or chunks
thank you very much for help 🙂
nice, np!
