tips on improving fps?
i have LOD set to the minimum 32 chunks, cpu load at balanced and quality at medium, my framerate sits at 80-90 but it stutters and skips to 30 every few seconds so it looks a lot worse than it is and i'm wondering what the best settings are to improve framerate, I have an i5 11400f and a gtx 1060

The most benefitial for me are Sodium and ImmediatelyFast
With Sodium multiplying my fps by 5x compared to Optifine
And ImmediatelyFast giving additional 60%
i wanted to try sodium but afaik it's a fabric only mod, which isn't an option for me because a few of my mods are only available on forge
isn't there a forge port of sodium somewhere?
i think i tried it a while back but never got very solid results so i just stuck to optifine
Embeddium is Sodium for Forge port
ImmediatelyFast has a native forge version
Note that most performance mods won't work with Optifine
so either Optifine or them
Optifine is garbage
But it is so easy to use...

ok i got embeddium, immediatelyfast and a better chunk loading mod
aaand that crashed my game
ok it was better chunk loading
disabled that and my game opened fine
how is your fps?
that definitely helped
went from a high of 100, average of 75 and occasional dips into 30 to cruising at 130 fps with slight drops
