do you need any more help @Joot ? otherwise I will close the post
this mod pack does nnot have alex caves
i think i would have to go through each mod individually to figure out issues @Puhpine (GMT +2)
You could also try a /binary search instead, that may take less time
Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
is there a quick way to disable mods? like how should i go about doing that
The easiest is to move the mods you want to disable to a different temporary folder
i just disabled a bunch in curse forge and it instantly worked, so know to half that
when the mod works, and i activate shaders, it stops rendering past the my chunk distance

does everything check out?
im on an older version of mc
1.18.2
does that mean shaders wont work with dh
unfortunately not no
no wayyy
thats annoying
yea
and theres 100% no way around that
?
nope
sad
thanks
np!
there is legacy support if you use Optifine or the experimental oculus, but the oculus with legacy support is only for 1.16.5 and 1.19.2
It will look bad though
could u explain that a bit more please @Miki_P98
you can still tune the fog and noise texture to make it look better
see: #Make the fog cover first few visible DH chunk rows...
see: #Increase default noise (both intensity and steps)
Before the offical shader suport Iris and DH added, there was a semi broken way to make the shaders work
Optifine could still load shaders
some shaders kinda worked,
some unaffected LODs (so shadown only on vanilla chunks),
some made the LODs black
are shaaders being used in those screenshots? if so what ones @Miki_P98
you can try to finkd something not much broken
no
it is only fog and noise texture tuned in DH settings
ok so my issues is getting it to work with shaders, i figured out the mod issues
Now I remembered that vanilla shaders might also work with DH,
try: https://modrinth.com/shader/vanillapuddingtart
(put it as a resourcepack)
I doubt that's going to work with Distant Horizons...
:harold:
not on DH water and stuff, but it at least won't break LOD shadeing and should blend pretty good
I remember people using it
Interesting.
I will test it now
Well, it is incompatible with Sodium
but I still think it should work
