Complementary Shaders turning off DH
I have downloaded DH, Rubidium, Oculus and Complementary Shaders, from the github compatibility list, but once I turn on the shaders, the LODs stop showing.

Tou have too old Oculus
Newer version crashes
Older does not have DH support
Which one should I use then?
1.7+
Newest from Modrinth
Also use Embedium not Rubidium
That might be the soure of the crash
Isn't it less stable?
It is, but Rubidium is abandoned and old
Alright, I will install them and come back to you
Thank you
No problem!
Perfect, it's fixed with embeddium
Is there anything (incompatible mods, issues...) I should know about embeddium?
its about as good as sodium is and rubidium was
Shimmer
this might be usefull though:
That is it
/chunky
Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
So, the problem is having DH on and chunky active, right?
yes
I'll take that into consideration
One thing I have noticed
you dont need chunky anyway with DH
There are some transparent blocks appearing, is that a bug or maybe has something to do with chunky?
Can you send a screen shot?
Transparency is a feature for glass, water and stuff
It can be disabled in the settings
I tried but the screenshot didn't take. I'm not seeing anymore tho
It happened with a jungle tree leaves
the easiest way to send a screenshot in minecraft is making minecraft windowed, then pressing shift + win + s
You might want to tune the overdraw prevention
How can I do that?
/config
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
Then in advanced
I think quality
Note that shader override this setting, so if were to use one, look in shader settings
I'll check it
Thank you for the help guys!
np!
Btw, sorry I mention it now
You told me I don't need chunky
But don't the LOD chunks appear after you have loaded them first?
Only in multiplayer
In single they will generate around you
That version is on the Oculus Discord server.
Not available anywhere else.
Oooh got it
