I wouldn’t buy their slim fit. Even the contemporary fit is v skinny for trousers. I’d just go off of their size chart
that's interesting, I'm pretty skinny so straight cut tends to fit baggy. And from this I like slim better https://youtu.be/vhmH1HDhRcE
I'm trying to decide between 28 and 30.
Size 28 Fits Waist Up To 29.5", so I'd be at the limit there. Size 30 fits up to waist 31.5", but also up to 38.5 hips, which is ~3" more than my measurement

Spier & Mackay Slim Fit Trousers vs. Contemporary Fit
Can you tell the difference between the slim fit and contemporary fit in Spier and Mackay pants? In this video, I show them side by side and discuss when you might want to wear the contemporary vs. the slim.
I’d go with the 30s at least
I personally think they both look too skinny in the video. It’s really not as baggy as you think it is
damn, Michael posted his Spier Mackay tux earlier and I couldnt believe it
but that video confirms it
there is close to no difference between those two cuts
Spier & Mackay need like 2 additional wider pants cuts
they are living in 2012 in the worst way
yeah tbh slim looks almost skinny fit
is it possible guy in video has a size smaller than he should?
possible sure, I think spier's trouser fits in general are just too slim. There's hardly a difference between the two
