Weird circular render thing in superflat-world
This is in 1.20.1 fabric, the short mod list with each version is in the attachments.
Any idea what might cause this? Or what config/setting i might need to turn on/off to avoid it?
I couldn't replicate a similar issue in a regular survival world.

To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
That looks like your render distance
the render distance is chunk by chunk, I'm talking about the literal circle of glass blocks getting rendered differently depending on how far away from the player they are
the entire world is a superflat with a white stained glass layer
yeah, that is DH glass
first is your vanilla chunks glass
then transparent glass from DH with vanilla overlap
then overlap ends leaving DH glass
then next quality level glass
DH has 5 or 6 quality levels if I'm not mistaken
why would the "vanilla chunks glass" (sounds like icecream) overlap with "dh glass" though?
is there an option where i can have stuff render regularly within the actually loaded chunks?
Yes, you can set overdraw prevention to 1.0
Shaders override it, so if you were to use one, change it in sheder settings
setting OvPr to 1.0 will result in holes if you move to fast and vanilla chunk won't load in time
took me a while to find the option, but that works, thanks!
Although since it's not just horizontal distance, the "problem" remains when high in the sky
I suspect there's no way around that though 😄
yes you are correct
In any case, thanks for you help. I'll mark this as solved then 🙂 💜
