DH chunks black, need help figuring out which mod is affecting it
I have a ring of black chunks. In https://discord.com/channels/881614130614767666/1035937626944962641/1175939879243366460 it says this is caused by a mod that messes with the light map, I can't figure out which mod is doing this. I've already removed
- lambdynamiclights
- Starlight
- Bobby
- Chunky
The other mods I have are
- Axiom
- BadOptimizations
- BetterF3
- c2me-fabric
- cloth-config
- DisableCustomWorldsAdvice
- DH (obviously) (I'm on 2.1.2a)
- Dungeons and taverns
- dynamic fps
- Enhancedblockentities
- EntityCulling
- essential
- FabricAPI (obviously)
- Indium
- Iris
- Krypton
- litium-fabric
- logicalzoom
- modelfix
- modernfix
- modmenu
- moreculling
- noisium
- sit
- sodium-fabric
- tectonic-fabric
- Xaeros_Minimap
- XaerosWorldMap
This was seen in single player, haven't tried to see if this happens in multiplayer.
This was in mc 1.20.4.

This is probably unrelated but in the image I can see the slimes through my hand.
Did you delete your LODs after removng Starlight?
/lodstore
Single Player:
- Overworld:
.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Nether: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM-1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- End: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Custom Dimensions: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIMENSION_FOLDER/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
Multiplayer:
- .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
That somewhat helped but now this is happening

Try without c2me
Remember to delete your LODs again
done, its still swiss cheese
/slowgen
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)do the second part
What CPU load do you have in DH settings?
Mayby the missing chunks need more time
I've got the lods that aren't rendered fixed there is still these
they are darker green patches, there is LODS loaded in there they are just bugged
starlight will permanently affect the world. just use 2.1.0 for now, it should be fixed in the next DH update
I'm curious, if chunks with Starlight are saved in a different Starlight format, why are chunks in vanilla RD working after removing Starlight?
i have no idea lol
Maybe MC had different format in the past and can read both, while Starlight never updated to the new format?
In that case DH should also be able to read both (I mean it should be added)
youre telling me i cant yell at people that use starlight to not use it anymore? 😢
Starlight is a part of Paper if i'm not mistaken so you would have to shout at both
ill do thanks for the tip
np!
I've downgraded to 2.1.0 the darker chunks are still there. Should I just wait until 2.1.3?
have you regenerated those LODs?
nvm
they fixed
