Has anyone got a definitive list of performance boosting mods?
There seems to be absolutely millions to chose from!
It'd be amazing if someone could share with me all the performance mods needed to get the most stable and high fps shader performance with distant horizons compatibility. Cheers!

depends on which version you will be playing on
1.20.1
guessing your playing on fabric or?
all in the tags 🙂
oh shoot didnt see
no worries
so my pc is pretty beefy so i dont need alot but when i had a horrid pc i used the simply optimized modpack on modrinth. so go on modrinth website or if you use modrinth, go yoink the mods and config file from there into your own modpack. as thats what i did atleast and it worked well for me. (ps i didnt use distant horizons when i used the modpack so check for incompatabilitys. but they should give you a good fps boost)
thanks, already using that funninly enough, but fps is little shakey with shaders + distant horizons still so was just wondering if they were any specific mods that'd work better with the distant horizons + iris combo
oh lol nice
well distant horizons is quite unstable since its still in beta
Distant horizons is not unstable unless you use the nightly builds which is not recommended and it is not in beta anymore either the latest stable version of dh is 2.1.2
oh how do i know if im installing nightly or not? i just install the most recent update of them for the version im playing
I've just been getting the one on modirinth
base 2.1
anything past 2.1.2 is currently nightly
okay so im guessing my versions have actually been stable but just still kinda laggy
It will be laggy if you do not have many optimisation mods or a bad pc
well ive just tried the simply optimized mods with dh and shaders runs decently but when im generating chunks kinda fast its starts to tank my performance. (i have a rx 7700xt, r5 7500f and 1 tb ssd + 16gb ram)
Decrease CPU load in DH settings
I play on balanced
You can control how many threads and everything that dh uses in teh advacned settings which may help you to reduce lag
