American Trench socks?
Looking to pick up some new crew socks and keep hearing about this brand. What's so great about them? Genuinely asking since I didn't really know they existed until I was on this server. Seems they're made in USA. Also what colors (thinking solids) are good to have? Most of my socks are grey, black, or white but I think it's hard to have too many white socks tbh

i've had a pair of their merino striped socks for almost 5 years now and they've held up better than any other every day merino sock i've tried while remaining comfortable ( the others being druthers, patagonia, fitsok, tracksmith, outlier, woolrich, satisfy, smartwool, icebreaker). Darn Tough probably lasts more but they are not a good looking sock nor as comfortable to use.
I got a couple of their cotton socks last year and they are pretty good so far. The fabric blend they use hits the sweet spot for me between fit and durability while looking good.
Most of my socks are their cotton milspec or retro stripe ones. I wish they were cheaper but not much below that price that's as comfy, besides like Costco merino hikers lol
yup i just replaced a bunch of (imo) ugly old Bombas in favor of the mono stripe crew socks from American Trench. I really like them and they’ve help up well so far / look good
forgot to mention when they run the sale for $10 a pair thats pretty good
J.crew sometimes stocks some of them I think
You don't need their socks unless you're actually looking for a very nice sock
Isn't it true that their socks don't really go up as high as a normal crew sock does?
matching trousers to socks isn't a hard rule and mainly applies to dressier clothes like suits.
i have socks from a few brands all about the same height. i dont think ive ever thought about this tbh
I have some PRL socks that are crew cut and I have some new AT socks I got last Christmas and they were noticably shorter
But I'm not sure if PRL socks have a higher cut for crew or AT is just low cut for crew length
