Extending coat sleeves with a cuff

This might be a stupid question but for a coat with a sleeve cuff like this can I extend it if the sleeves are too short? Would I need a tailor to do it or could I just unbutton it?

With that kind of cuff there is a variety of ways you could go about it. 1. Just unbutton it - no cuff anymore and depending on it the sleeves might be too long. 2. Move the button that holds the cuff (might require some steaming ironing to help the cuff in the new position) - cuff will be slimmer which might fuck up the overall vibe of the coat but if you are at least modeately handy re-sewing a button can be done at home. 3. Have a tailor remove the cuff altogether and just tailor it to the right lenght - you loose the cuff 4. Check if there is some extra fabric on the inside of the sleeve that can be let out. In that case a tailor might be able to just lenghthen the sleeve and re-do the cuff. Is propably a bit more expensive than usual bc its more work intensive but it is most likely the "ideal" solution that preserves the overall look. I would keep the cuffs if possible. I think they are a nice detail and also you can fold them down when it is raining to protect your hands
