Rand out of space here is the rest of the modpack
can you be more specific on what the issue is?
maybe show me with a vanilla render distance of 2
Yea, sure lemme get back on the game..
Here where ever I put a specific biome it put's default Minecraft generation trees in it's place and not my trees I custom ones I put in my map
Like I literally have no trees there at all it's just bushes and rocks
is the world pregenerated? or is DH doing its own generation?
it looks like it's doing in own generation but only the trees it's not putting in any sort of odd mountain or anything it just keeps trying to generate vanilla trees where there is nothing.
i have no idea why its doing that, but as a workaround you could use chunky instead. uninstalling DH, running chunky, then reinstalling DH.
it looks like your(?) mod is half incompatible somehow with DH, but i have no idea why
Oh crap I forgot to install chunky... hang on lemme see if that' the problem
well, it would still be a problem if you needed chunky
chunky shouldn't be needed at all
Well, chunky did up my games performance but fake trees are still there I also installed C2M just in case
chunky upped your games performance?
how?
anyway, you should try deleting DH, running chunky, deleting your sqlite files, then reinstalling DH
/lodstored
Single Player:
- Overworld:
.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Nether: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM-1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- End: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Custom Dimensions: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIMENSION_FOLDER/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
Multiplayer:
- .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
Alr I loaded the world without DH, with chunky, now I'm going to reinstall DH, and join my sinlgeplayer world again.
dont forget to run chunky
and delete the sqlite files before adding back DH
run it? do you mean via command? or since i have it installed it should work on it's own cause I had it installed without DH
chunky doesnt do anything without the /chunky command
thats why its weird it upped your performance
oh, alr lemme do that rq.
oh ok lol so what it's doing is trying to find all possible generation? basically when you run the command
No, it generates vanilla chunks
Alr I ran the command of a radius of 8Mil I'll probably do some mundane task while i wait
8
million
?????
that will not finish within your lifetime
Yea it's only at 3% I may have done it at 80000000 witch is more like....80 Mil
oops oh well
that 3% is not accurate at all
i dont think you are grasping how long 8 or 80 million will take
it says it will take 2HRs but I doubt that
thats very wrong
ill make a quick calculation give me a second
my cpu can do 2048 blocks in about 30 minutes
8 million is about 3.906,25 times more
therefor, 8 million would take 117.187,5 minutes on my pc. or about 4.882,8125 days, or about 13,4 years
are you sure you put in 8 million?
Nope I just googled the number it says it's 80Mil
what did you put in?
once eight and seven zero's
maybe it just doesnt allow such high numbers and defaulted to a much lower number instead
oh yea.... I accidently did it at 5662 yea i just redid it and it's saying it's going to take 2.8K hours yea i'm changing it
alright
ye I think i broke the mod :/
I stried restarting it and the green bar won't pop up anymore
0.o
maybe try in a new world or smth
I just deleted the config files for chunky so the files could reappear empty
I am so sorry this is taking so dang long ot's trial and error atm
lol, no worries
Im laughing at puhpines reaction to 8 million 😂😂
I just realized I completely messed up the calculation. It's 3750000000000 minutes, not 117187,5. So it's even more
(I may be wrong on this one as well)
No, that's not right again
457763671,875
I think
Ok, so I did the thing I just did a smaller part of the map this time, and it still does it I loaded it in without DH did the /chunky command loaded it, then I loaded it with DH and it still shows the fake foliage...So it might just be a bug that may have to be fixed or looked at it might just be since the world is from WorldPainter it has trouble trying to read the Level.dat file idk I think it maybe cause it's a WorldPainter map?
Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
Maybe, if you did delete the SQLite file, I don't have any ideas anymore
Neither do I tbf I think It might just be a slight bug, thatj ust has to be fixed 🙂
There should be an option in the world options in game to update every chunk to the newest format called optimise world or something like that
Try running it
But it will take super long time
Then delete the LODs once more
I just tried that and it didn't work
Oh wait... it did i just took me 6 tries
