I begin to see caves below me.
At an altitude of 175, I start to see caves below me, I stop seeing them only at an altitude of 515

Something might be wrong with overdraw prevention or cave culling
Try playing with both settings

isnt this issue caused by that mod that lets you change the % height at which chunks are rendered?

Hhmm so you don't have that mod I mentioned installed. What other mods do you have?
what is it?
maybe try removing some rendering mods like sodium extra and the physics mod and see if that fixes it
Physics mod works fine with dh for me
