Render radius? And low red LOD close to me?
Hi everyone,
We're running Fabric 1.20.4 on our multiplayer server will Vanilla tweaks, no other mods currently.
Only mods I have running clientside are DH, Sodium, Indium, iris and Mod Menu. No shader packs. Vanilla loader with 10gig RAM allocated.
Issue #1: Theres a noticable radial area (minecraft view distance most likely?) after which is all LODs and within which is normal terrain. The problem is this gap area of missing terrain is always visible. The terrain disappears and reappears on the other side of the defect as you move.
Issue #2a: floating islands in LOD stretch to the ground looking quite ugly, is there a way to improve this?
Issue #2b: LODs are pretty low grade quite close to where I am. You can see the castle is really low res even though its quite intricate up close.
I've looked through the FAQ and not had much luck. If anyone has suggestions I'd be very appreciative of your input π

1. try tweaking overdraw prevention in dh's settings, under advanced --> graphics iirc
2a. can probably be fixed if you turn vertical quality up in dh's settings
2b. the point of DH is to render stuff at a lower resolution so your pc doesnt explode. it looks to be working as intended in the screenshot
Note that overdraw prevention is override by sny shader so if you would use one, look in shader settings
2b, try tuning the noise texture and fog

Yep I realised the idea is for res to be lower in the LODs just hoping to get those closer to me slightly better.
