Wait, Minecraft 1.12??????
typo
they're on 1.21 i believe
oh okay
fixed it
but my nightime is so bright
its still like day time even at midnighjt
this is at midnight
how do i fix the clouds they look buggy
they meant to look liket that
it looks better with mountains n stuff trust
Ahh
My midnight n night time looks so bright tho
thats true
maybe look in brightness settings
Will do
I’m back soz for wait
I made a new world with shaders off
Default render at 32 and dh at 200
And I keep getting a dh error
Saying lower cpu but I have it on balanced
I don’t have chunky or c2me installed just dh
To load the chunks
What is your cpu load according to task manager?
Or: Are you thermal throttling?
I7-13700kf
And no it is at between 60-80 C
Ran usage is all over the place rn
How much ram do you have allocated?
My cpu has to reach 100c before it thermal throttles
25 gb
I have 32
I think the error stopped now
What should I do after all dh chunks are loaded
To avoid the same issues I ran into before
25gb is too much imo
I have quite a few mods so it needs the ram
And I’m running 32 defualt chunks and 200 with dh
It’s using between 10,000 -20,000 gb ram rn to load dh
I can do that with 8gb and a good gc on a slower cpu
It’s fluctuating
8gb allocated*
It uses up whatever you give it
I prefer to have extra headroom in ran to avoid game crashes etc
It’s usually not an issue to give a ton of ram to Minecraft but you’re running the risk of it using up all of your system memory and causing a crash
It’s been handling mc fine after dh loads
It’s not going over 20gb rn
I have 32 in my system
And my pc has never crashed because of this ever
In my experience it increases over time
Well in terms of ram issues anyway
So if you’re planning on going afk while it generates I’d lower it
How long does it take to generate
Roughly
I once allocated 16gb and after a few hours of playing with my friends it was using 24gb somehow
What radius are you generating?
Wym
Nvm I forgot you said DH is 200
Yea lol
Is that bad or good
My pc is well able to handle 200
It’s jus if I leave cpu on balanced during gameplay after chunks load I don’t want the temps to be as high as they are loading dh
200 on your cpu might take about an hour to generate
There managble temps rn
Its probably well able to handle 4096 chunks. The thing is that it will take a long time to generate.
Bruh
Prob less
Time
Yea no cursing in my Christian Minecraft server
Arnt the chunks stored in the ram ?
My bad hahaha
Force of habit soz
But idm waiting
Idk how it works but prob
What should I do once dh is done loading
Everyone is saying to fly around the world with an elytra
Idk why
Well first off I’d turn down your vanilla render distance
Ima put it back to 12
32 is really high and doesn’t make a huge difference
After
I usually keep it at 12
It’s better to lower it while it’s generating
But I want the chunks to load faster so I put it at 32
A high vanilla rd will only slow down chunk generation. Just stand still, lower your graphics settings, turn cpu load up to the highest your cpu can handle, and wait
Will I put it back to 12
The default render
I still have it on balanced and my temps are climbing to 90c
It’s hovering mid 80-95c
Oh my pccccc
These temps man ……….
I think my cpu too overpowered or sum
Your cpu cooler is too underpowered
A 13700k requires a lot of cooling
I have a h150i elite cappilix 360 aio
It ain’t tha good tbh
I wanna upgrade
But then ima have to upgrade all my pc fans
Why shouldn’t I use chunky c2me and noisium
That cooler should do fine
Why?
You can use noisium. For the other ones:
/chunky
Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
Same applies to c2me, but at a lesser degree
I use Icue and all my pc fans are the same including the coolers
Why should they be the same?
And they all link to icue
If I get a diff brand cooler won’t that mess it up
If they are indeed all connected to the aio and there is no way to route it without going to the aio, it might. But I doubt that
I have a commander core xt
Does your pc case have a fan hub?
That my fans are using
And the pump has its own commander core
I’m using both
So it links all the rgb together
That would always happen to me
That is the most proprietary thing I've ever seen.
I do not recommend trying to upgrade your aio, it will probably not make a difference. you could try reapplying thermal paste though
Already have recently
I think it’s the motherboard
But it may just be an issue of the cpu simply drawing too much power
Pushing too much voltage
That could be the case
If I try power limit the cpu my performance is chopped in half
I have a b660 gaming ddr4 x
Depends how much you power limit
Even if I apply a small power limit performance still gets hit heavy
Like what?
I can’t even play games like Fortnite etc without the temps going over what I’m comfortable with
If I limit the cpu to 200w performance still drops heavy
It draws 253
Stock
And I havnt overclocked or undervotes
Volted
Hhmm yea
If you have money to spare, you could change the cpu to a 7800x3d lol
That would match good with my gpu as they both would be amd
But
This mobo is an intel baord
Lga1700 socket
Amd cpus arnt supported
It still not done loading
4000 chunks left I think
Bro my ro is like a sauna over this pc
What do I do when chunks are loaded
This still happens even after all chunks are loaded
That doesnt sound right what temp are you uncomfortable with? intel cpus are fine to reach 95-100c
Like this is fine for minecraft, since minecraft is a pretty cpu intensive game
200 dh render on a cpu like that should take 10 min
unless you have some highly impactful mods on generation, like WWOO/alex caves. aside from those 2 all the other gen mods should be fine
More like one to two hours
That will always happen when flying/moving fast
Try undervolting you CPU a bit
My 7600x took around 26-27 hours for 1024 render distance using tectonic so unless a 13700kf with vanilla world gen is 6x faster then its not gonna generate 200 render distance that fast
Pretty sure you already have one of the best aios
Not really, Arctic has better and cheaper ones
They are not that pretty though
Id-cooling
I remember them having the cheapest aio
Probably bad performance
But it's an aio!1!1!1!11
For ~50$ or less
Now they don't 😔
I looked at reviews and it’s up there
Not as good as arctic but not a worthwhile upgrade
It toook 3 hours to render 200
It’s working now but
My cpu is worse than yours, I'm starting to not like the idea of me sitting down for 6 hours just to render 256 lods😢
My game stilll loooks kinda bad even with shaders
