Bliss + DH support questions
Do i need DH from curseforge, modrinth or github, or does it not matter in order to be compatable with bliss shaders? also, what are the "nightly builds" in #links-n-downloads ? are those modpacks containing shader support and everything already made?

No it does not matter where you get your dh from just do not use the nightly builds they are unstable builds of dh for testing. Use the stable releases from either modrinth, curseforge or github. All builds paired with iris 1.7 will work with bliss shaders but you do need to download the bliss shader for dh not general bliss shaders you can get the bliss shader from here https://discord.com/channels/774352792659820594/1204164311287734314/1204164311287734314

Hey do you know if there is a command for telling someone how to regen their lods by deleting their .sqlite file in the world folder?
idk
okay
best thing we have is /lodstored
Single Player:
- Overworld:
.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Nether: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM-1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- End: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Custom Dimensions: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIMENSION_FOLDER/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
Multiplayer:
- .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
ok that is good enough
thanks Puhpine
I have another question, I got DH and bliss to work, so now I have to make my computer not blow up. What settings should I change / remove now that I essentially have infinite render distance?
you cant have near infinite render distance with DH, perhaps you are confusing the mod farplanetwo with DH?
I mean, it renders and keeps whatever chunks you manually load in by adventuring across, so in a way it’s infinite render but not really
I does not keep everything, it unload everything beyond your DH RD
however it works it lets me see more which voids some settings which bring down performance I’m sure, I’m just not sure which
Reduce shadow resolution and ernder distance
turn off water waves
turn off reflections
these are the most performance intensige
the only more intensive thing is path/ray tracing but it is disabled by default in Bliss
there is no path tracing in bliss
there is screen space ray tracing
and screen space global illumination
I recommend to turn them on, but they are really performance intensive
bro
dont even compare these reflections
to seus ptgi okay?
No seus ptgi does not work with iris or dh
it does
with both
well maybe it is just seus ptgi hrr 3 then
no
because that version doesn't even work properly with iris
what lol
it does
No it doesn't function properly
it works but has heaps of bugs
and messed up lighting
