If the long pillars are the problem try increasing vertical quality in DH settings

how long does it roughly take to load 256 chunks
because fps is screaming
Depends on worldgen mods
With optimalization mods and ReTerraForge and 13900k
with RD of 1024 takes over 14 hours
512 takes around 4 hours
so 256 should take less then an hour
then the worse CPU you have the more it takes
With no reterraforge it should be way faster
Direct worldgen optimalization mods are:
- Noisium
- Faster Random
And every other that will free up your CPU

but not for generation speed increase
so the best are noisium faster random and lithium

For FPS very good are:
- NVIDIUM
- ImmediatelyFast
- SODIUM
For RAM:
- FerriteCore
For ambience (no fps increase):
- AmbientSounds
- Presence Footsteps
