Very very low fps on a medium-high end pc
Whenever I use dh (1.21) my fps drops from 200 to 20. I have a large mod list, but I tried with only indium sodium and iris and got the same result. PC: Ryzen 7 3700x, Rtx 3070, 16gbs (6 alloc). When I removed my mods dh started running better at 60fps once loaded, but I still feel like it's really underperforming. Pictures are without dh compared to with dh, and then dh will lowest settings once somewhat loaded and no other mods.

I will try adding chunky + noisium and see if anything happens
Chunky is not a performance mod so that won't help, and noisium only makes chunks load faster, it won't increase fps

You should send your
latest.log file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs

Are there any advanced options I could use to help?
To increase fps:
- install ImmediatelyFast
- reduce your vanilla RD (max 12)
- reduce DH quality preset
- turn off distant generation
- reduce CPU load preset

To speed up generation:
- turn CPU load to agressive
- install:
- Noisium and
- Faster Random
- others, e.g. Lithium
I already have all those mods installed.
And without dh, I can run at 130 fps with 32 chunks fine. I turned it down but with no change in the result
I think that while dh loads, I just have to afk, and then play once it has loaded
Alright, once it has loaded in I get no fps problems! Only thing is that it took maybe 4 hours for 512 chunks (not really fully loaded) at max cpu load.

Having the same issue. RTX 3090, ryzen 5900x, 32gb ram.
Set DH to 4000 just for giggles, but even setting it to only 500 gives me around 15 fps with BSL shaders.
Got a ton of mods installed, but tried running just dh without anything (like you did) and still have terrible fps.
Tried using chunky set to load 4000 radius but that didnt help at all
First time loading LODs is pretty laggy
Also do it without shaders imo
Then once its loaded enable shaders
