On servers chunks won't generate by its own, you need to explore the world first
The circle cutout. disaearing chunks are caused by Overdraw prevention, try changing it in DH settings
Note that overdraw prevention is overriden by shaders, so if you will be using one, look in shader settings
is there a way I could render them w out actually traveling to the chunks? like w chunky or smth
You can either generate them in singleplayer if you have the seed. Or you can install the #Server side fork on the server AND client so that the server can send LODs to the client.
/lodstored
Single Player:
- Overworld:
.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Nether: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM-1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- End: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Custom Dimensions: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIMENSION_FOLDER/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
Multiplayer:
- .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
sorry how would I install it?
Same way you install any other mod
Download it and put in mods folder
But what am I downloading exactly
a fork of DH that has been edited so that the server will be able to send LODs outside of the normal render distance to the client
check the pinned message in #Server side fork for more details on the installation process
Will I need to open a port if I’m using exaroton
@Puhpine (GMT +1)
Yes you will still need to
So you might need to contact support to see if they can open one for you
how would they open one for me
You ask them if they can do that, and if they can, they do that
where should i ask?
and who should i ping
if anyone
Exaroton support
do u know of any hosting services that allow opening ports
