it didnt log the crash or create a crash report so it can be hard to diognose. when does it happen? does it crash with just DH installed?

There are not a lot of reasons you would need extreme quality
it only helps when you zoom in

Try setting the quality preset to very high, but horizontal quality to extreme, and check if it crashes
If not, set horizontal quality back to vary high, and set the vertical quality to pixel art, and check if it crashes
Maby you run out off RAM? How much do you have in the system, and how much did you allocate to MC?

Again on old version it does not crash
Try allocating onlu 16 GB to MC

Yes, If you have 32 GB in your system, and currently allocate 22 for MC, try allocating only 16GB
