Not sure why this is, maybe because stable is released and they don't want the installer to be used, but just download everything from modrinth instead of using the installer and put the mods into the mods folder which is located at
.minecraft/mods.

Download the Fabric Installer, execute it and change the according settings. If you're on 1.20.6, you'll have to change nothing, else change
