The hell is this clicking?
30 day old bearings (3->3.1 upgrade). Frame is squared to 0.1mm total variance on bed levelling. My theory is that either the belt has some variance that causes it to push up then click off the pulley, or the frame is somehow not square and the belt is not travelling through the motor cage in a linear fashion. Or something. I've spent way too long trying to iron this out.

Update: rebuilt the bearing stack twice. Once with old, once with new bearings. No improvement. So took the whole damn corner apart, realigned everything, and still happened. The only thing I had not done was replace the stepper, so I got a replacement 2504ac, and that resolved it. Maybe the shaft had a little bit of play and it would allow for the belt to go at an angle through the stacks?

Set up a test gcode where it only moves in x and see if it happens, only in y, only in one diagonal, only in the other diagonal, and see if you can narrow it down
From the audio on my phone I'm not 100% sure I am hearing the clicking, but if it is it kiiiiinda sounds like loose shims with your bearings rattling, like the bearing stacks aren't held securely
Yeah, it's hard to hear with the rest of the noise via video, but it's very audible in person.
I'll give it some more fussing. I basically took apart the whole motor and bearing stacks yesterday, relubed them with boeshield. Guess I'll triple check my work then ðŸ˜
