4028 stopped working

I've had a 4028 installed and running for over a year now, yesterday mid print it just stopped, so I changed it out for a new 4028 thinking it died from extended use. After installing the new 4028 fan, it still won't power up. I have tried changing the 12v from fan 7 to fan 6 on my Octopus Pro 446 thinking maybe the fan port died. no effect. I tried changing the PWM pin from !fan_part_cooling_fan to its actual name PA8. no effect I tried changing it from PA8 (Fan 0) to PD13 (Fan 3) which I use for my chamber heater and the fan works there. no effect I tried changing the changing the enable_pin from PB10 to PB11 both with and without an ! in front of the pin number. no effect fan wire > printer Black > PB11 red > Fan7 12v rail blue > !fan_part_cooling_pin Current printer.cfg [fan] pin: !fan_part_cooling_pin enable_pin: PB11 #(HE3) cycle_time: 0.01
Solution:
ok, I checked the voltages at the fan end and there was no continuity from the GND pin in PB11 to the fan. I went to re-solder the connection and found that the wire was broken 1/2" inside the wire jacket so the original fan did not die the GND wire broke in the jacket and caused it to disconnect....

have you checked with a multimeter that power is actually getting to the fan? * check the port is putting out power * check the wiring from port to fan is putting out power

I have plugged another 12v fan into Fan7 and it works, and between fan7 and PB11 i have 12v when the fan it set to 50% power i have re-crimped the PWM pin 3 times
