Have you heard about our lord and savior
/slowgen
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)they might just be generating very slowly
its not that its slow, its not loading the lod chuncks at all
ehh idk
ti have it on "i paid for the whole cpu"
and i turned off v-sync
and the quality is on low
good,if your cpu at 90% usage?
92
It's generating them then
See point 2
i put them on, i see no blue or red
screen shoot
screen shot?
1 sec
360 degree sometime it generates only on one side
Does the server have the server-side fork on it?
and that means?
What's that?
There’s a fork meant to run on servers that allows for distant generation
Because without it distant generation won’t work on servers
It’ll only generate in chunks you’ve visited
1.
2.
3.
and 4.
you there?
he's probably right
how d
o i check that
not sure,try asking admins
what do i ask? and how will the admin check?
Check if the server has the DH fork installed?
It prob doesn’t
Bc it uses a lot of server resources
i keep hearing about this, is it a command? beacuse i cant see it if it is
it is, but is invisible
write it in #bot-commands to test it
Install the server side fork on the client first
then in the F3 menu, should be a new param
That when at 0 would probably tell you if server has the fork
