Already generated LOD suddenly disappears.
I was chilling whit DH night build 2.0.4 ,using distance generation in a 256 circle in my pre generated world.
Then suddenly, a previusly visible part just disappear(right of my indicator,between that mountain and the ocean.
Distance generation boxes are already rendering blocks further away,which I cant see aswell but they seems to not exist for a while before,only to appear after I do a circle.

does restarting the game fix it?

should I try walking near it?Might solve the issue but I'm more concerned about why it happens
Same thing happened to me and just flying over it fixed it
But this was after generating LODs for like 6 hours
one reason might be that it is still calculating the detail level of those LOD's and got stuck while doing that
Yea it did happen after I teleported
But it showed before and disappeared,the only thing I did was flying closer to it
yes, so it needs to recalculate the LODs to a higher quality
not saying thats the issue though

If your cpu being maxed out by the LOD gen then what Puhpine said might be right
Try turning off distant generation and teleporting there

So flying to it resolved the issue,any clue why it happens?

Yea it’s showing the closer ones in a higher detail so it needs to redraw the other ones to match up

As long as you turn down the cpu impact while actually playing the LODs shouldn’t disappear like that
They are already pregenerated
Did you also generate regular chunks with something like chunky?

My only guess at the cause is just that your cpu couldn’t handle updating the LODs and generating at the same time
It's only occationally peaking at 60%

Just make sure your cooling can keep up with that lol
I think in the advanced options you can choose how much of your cpu each type of task can use
So if it happens again try giving more threads to the LOD rendering and less to world gen

Either, increase DH render distance or increase Quality preset
lower quality lods have bigger chunks
IDK, if it is 64 by 64 or 128 by 128, but if even 1 block of that lod is outside the render distance, the whole region will disapear
