ratos.local does not work
So i can see you're using the IP address instead of ratos.local on your mainsail screenshot, do the same for the configurator. So use http://192.168.20.55/configure
ok this is where it is now
do i skip
my board is a manta m8p v2.0
is this one corect
your picture show 1 boot button
my board has 2
This isn't supported in RatOS 2.0 (only 1.0 and 1.1 is supported), you'd have to install RatOS 2.1 to get Manta M8P v2.0 support: https://github.com/Rat-OS/RatOS/releases/tag/v2.1.0-RC1

Release RatOS-v2.1.0-RC1 · Rat-OS/RatOS
Documentation is underway, 2.1.0-RC1 is marked as a pre-release until it's ready. Update all packages after connecting RatOS to your wifi network.
If you like the project and want to see it con...
so do i have to reflash the cb1
Yes
it st
what do i choose here
dfu
next problem
go back to board selection and try again
I've seen this happen if klipper doesn't come back up fast enough
should go straight through the second time (no flashing needed)
I just told you you shouldn't flash it again lol
just go back to the board selection screen, then click the board and click next.
it should detect and start checking the version within a second
If it keeps doing weird things hit the reset button on your board and try again
👍 then click next
oh it's not detected
(the USB icon would be green)
yeah stop here. Click the reset button on your board.
done
It's prolly stuck in dfu mode from when it failed the last time
Okay now it should detect the board and start checking the version
Is it still sitting on this screen?
yes
If you go back to the board selection page, does it still not have a green usb icon?
And just to be sure, you're clicking reset and not boot, right?
this button
yes
Okay something's up and your board is stuck in DFU, try flashing it yet again
how do i fix it
You flash it again
it does not stay connected
the hotspot comes on for about 30 sec then dis apear
does not pick up anything
What other control boards is available for the v core 4
I'm sitting with a $2000 paperweight at the moment
i meant the board... not the pi / cb1.
you had to use the IP last time, prolly the same here.
octopus pro is a good alternative, but not if you're using a CB1.
you don't have much other choice, you'd have to get a separate carrier board etc.
probably just a CB1 quirk, i don't make any gaurantees for the experience on these. It's a community supported SBC.
just keep flashing your manta m8p through DFU until it picks up properly.
The wifi does not work at all now
Did you check your router?
It'll show you which devices are connected.
Can not connect to anything
Obviously it worked for you before
Obviously you need to be connected to your own network before you can contact the CB1 again after you've set up the wifi.
Router is fine and I refreshed it again but now nothing works
It does not connect to my network or have a hotspots
According to the supplier the octopus and the manta is exactly the same board except that the manta has on-board pi and octopus has separate pi
I even reflashed the the memory card twice but still no hotspot
Where to from now
So you say I must replace the board with a octopus
I don't trust Biqu any more
Yeah i meant you should check your router for connected devices so you can see if the CB1 connects and what IP it has.
Usually those two are mutually exclusive, but again, i can't make any guarantees on the CB1 as the support for that is a community thing. If you have little experience with SBC's you should probably have bought an officially supported non-experimental SBC (the raspberry pi's listed in the docs).
Like i said before, your wifi worked just fine before, figure out what you did differently.
That's not the case at all, they have different mcu's and different features.
Also you're not using a Pi, you're using a big tree tech CB1, which i can't help you with (it's a community implementation i don't have much to do with it)
No that's not what i'm saying at all, you asked for other boards and i told you which i recommended. Your manta m8p prolly works fine but it's hard to find out when you don't follow my instructions.
I ordered a raspberry pi
Would that work
No, not enough eMMC. If you want to buy a CM4, i recommend you get one without eMMC so you can use an sd card. Flashing eMMC is not straight forward for someone with limited experience.
I would probably confirm your manta m8p works before going that far though.
If you're struggling with wifi, plug in an ethernet cable while you work on getting the board flashed or something.
I tried that does not work either
You keep saying "does not work", that tells me absolutely nothing. You need to explain exactly what happens, otherwise i cannot help you.
The cable does not connect to the boed
Can not ping it
What pi and board must I buy so this can work
Did you check your router to look up the IP of the device? I'm 99.9% sure it connects but mDNS isn't working f or you (so you have to use IP instead of ratos.local).
It does not show on the router it
each time you flash it likely gets a new IP address assigned by your router, so check your router's connected device list
It does not connect to my network
Okay then it sounds like your CB1 suddenly decided to not work anymore i guess
But we agree it worked fine for you earlier right?
And now all of sudden it doesn't?
So, either it didn't flash correctly or you accidentally killed it somehow
What do I need to buy
Are these the right ones
Are they compatible
Is this one ok
i want to buy the right stuff
can you please check if the above compattable is with your system
Delete the U2C, the octopus pro h723 is great 👍
it's useless
absolutely
What do we use for the head
Do we hard wire it or what board do we use

I found this Canbus with CanBoot and Octopus excellent guide on Facebook, posted by TJ M. Wanted to share it with the community and make it easier to find! BTT EBB42 1.2 if you want a toolboard.
The bom say the no max
Do I take the normal one or the no max
You don't need the MAX
So take the "No max31865" version if you want to save some money
Ok and what screen would you use
I would look into the different screens that BigTreeTech sell.
Or
the pi tft's work out of the box
So i'd get that.
👍
hi what does this mean i want to change to 5160 drivers
use the configurator (toggle on advanced stepper settings).
Tou night be facing the same issue i am i have the same board. Do you remember if the act led next to the cb1 was on when it stopped showing up in the network? For me if i restsrt/shutdown the system either via mainsail or ssh the sd wont boot again. Leaving the act led off.
Also in mainsail/fluid what frequency does the mcu report?
When did you purchase that board?
I purchased the board about 3 months ago
With no help or solution from bigtreetech what so ever they blamed it on me
Went with raspberry pi and it works great
So it was an issue with the cb1?
Or the board itself?
Don't know the whole thing is lying in the drawer
Never used it it's a pice of s$%#
And never got any refund or help from suppliers
Yeah it seems they just dont care. Been trying to make my 2 boards work and they insist is wifi issue. When the board doesnt boot even connected to ethernet
Which slot did you put the SD card in? Many people put it in the wrong one which would cause the symptoms you're describing
SOC sd card
The one under the compute module

Quick question. You know why the mcu reports 400MHz instead of the 550MHz?
Thats in mainsail machine config tab
That is a very long thread where you did a lot of steps unnecessarily if you were using Rat-OS
My guess is you messed up the bootloader so now nothing works
Not the first manta that i have. The issue is only present inthe v2.0 and there are multiple threads of people having issues with the bootloader. Btt instructions were followed. Boards did not retain the device id when flashing klipper. So pretty sure the bootloader was already bad.
