No clue what this is still haven't found an answer I will mark as done if I do
Lod chunk distance and regular chunk distance?
Also why do you need 2032 world height
at such world height single lod generation takes ages, and because lod gen it preatty much in random order, there are holes
You can see the generation progress in F3 menu
or
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)do the second part
I want the world height because of high builds
The world height just means I can build heigher
Even if the world is 3 blocks but 2032 blocks high, The data compression alg is gonna have a hard time
I still dont have a fix idk
I did the 2nd thing
What are you going to build anyway
the tower of babel but if they got to heaven
Holy cow
nvm you do need 2032
in my survival world
...
But I wanted to see farther so that I can see my whole builds
Im not sure what it is
I did everything
Generating that many chunks is gonna take alot of time
No matter what you do
thats 128
btw
💀
Have you changed the cpu usage?
Cpu load*
I've run distant horizons before its not that its my cpu or anything
I have the same settings I normally have on
Have you run it with the 2032 world height mod before?
no this is a diffrent modpack I also have other stuff it might affect
ill try on another instance rq
Even on stuff like "big globe" mod where usually the plains are y=100 but have a world height of 2000+ it takes a long time to load in lod chunks
works on another modpack (along with shaders lol)
now lets see if it works with the world height mod
If you really need the 2032 world height mod, Try changing the Data compression alg on advanced settings
It might be faster
its working with the 2032 mod on
its not that mod
hmmm
hmm
How many ram do you have allocated
12?
on both
I have no idea anymore
ill let you know if i find out Im going to get donuts ::)
good day mate thanks for trying
The higher the world height the more computations need to be done, so it takes longer
it doesnt matter it works with the mod on anyways
I tested it already
still cant figure it out
Can you try deleting you lod files and starting from scratch? But this time without chunky.
