You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
we need your latest.log as not a .gz file
Should I be near the placces with that bug?
you don't need to be but when you go closer what does it becaome or does it stay red?
When I go closer it overwrites to normal. When go further - turns back to red stripes.
There were //paste and //undo (etc) commands. But on the one place that was a long time ago, on the other place - today
can you test going over to a patch of emerald blocks or whatever and using //paste or //undo and then run away so it is out of your vanilla render distance
Also I should say that not always it happens.
So I have to go to clean emerald area and paste and undo something?
yea
I will post here 2 videos with those areas in several minutes
Update to the latest nightly or RC 2
BTW. Earlier I had a problem with such a problem with phantom blocks in the air beyond the vanilla view distance. Nothing helped. Had to delete my cached areas and recache all of needed square kilometers again.
I will try
@That Guy
New one just created
I really do not want to delete cached area and recache it again😢
You can try just moving the LODs to a different folder and let it generate new LODs
See if that fixes it in the first place
So I will have to regen all my hundrets of square kilometers saved terra then?
Just regen a bit and then check if its fixed or not
If you just move the LODs to a different folder then u can always move it back
Could you remind me it`s location?

Yes, the bug was overwritten. In that place which was affected today
Is there any solution besides recaching?
Due to the lack of any other response, I don't think there is
Delete your DH config and make sure you’re running RC2 or newer.
The red stripes should be behind a debug config that’s disabled by default.
What debug is that?
Where should I delete DH config?
And what is RC2?
/config
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
Release Candidate 2 from announcements
I am using 1.18.2, so there is only 2 0 1 I guess for it
Yes there is
Rc2 is for many versions, including 1.18.2
I do not see what version I should use. Or I do not have to change my 2.0.1-a-1.18.2 version to other?
Download the zip from https://discord.com/channels/881614130614767666/881744029509906472/1242647461852483664
Extract it (using 7zip if using win10)
Look for the 1.18.2 version
Put that file in your mods folder
And remove the old (2.0.1) file
Ok, thank you. Have to delete config now
So I have to delete config from there - .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.tom ?
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
What other config do you see?
Well if there are any others DH configs delete them too
With 2 0 4 a rc2 in main menu after I clicked to DH in mods section wanting to configure DH I got text: "Saving the world" and got crash to desktop @James Seibel (GMT-6) @Puhpine @That Guy @MarijnIsN00B (UTC+1)
@ArtemiyVa And you really had to ping everyone?

Bug with red stripes and phantom blocks is solved. But I am not able to manage settings of the mode
what do you mean?
Close some tabs
yea lol
Browser loading does not affect this. Even without opened browser. New version of DH crashes minecraft do desktop with information provided above.
Bug of the topic was solved with deleting the config. But to manage something in DH mode settings I have to place version 2 0 1 in mods, do any what I want in DH settings, then change DH 2 0 1 to 2 0 4 again, so rendering then goes with the new settings, but while I have version 2 0 4 active, I can’t change anything in the mod settings, because it crashes minecraft
why are you loading 2.0.1 and changing settings in there?
why not just change the settings in 2.0.4
Hm. I already told It several times. I am not able to enter settings on 2 0 4. It crashes minecraft WHEN I CLICK TO SETTINGS of DH (2 0 4)
could you just try going into the config file rather than changing config in game?
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
do the second part
And? What to do with the file?
go into the file open it in a text editor and change the desired values
I gtg thiugh
Thank you. Will try to change something in the file if needed. But it have to work from minecraft window as it was before. Interesting, why does it happen with me with 2 0 4 version
I do not know it is very odd
