my forge game crashes with a bunch of mods when i add distant horizons and i cant figure out why
this is what shows up on the launcher after it crashes:

Because the version you have does not have shader support

and i just looked at the log and i dont think i can post it. its quite long. this modpack has 190 mods so... yknow

ok i tried again and it crashed but that was bc i loaded into a world that was generated with dreams and desires (i think). im gonna generate a new world and see what happens

yes, I use modernfix with no issue

but my modpack is also like 10% the size of this one
so it could be a mod incompatibility
yeah it probably is but theres just so many mods its hard to know
just remove modernfix, you wont lose that much

Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
ill try again without modernfix and see what happens but first i gotta eat smthn rq brb

ok so i turned off loot integrations, although i do also have looter. i ddi also delete a few preformance mods which i think might be the problem and now it comes up with this: The game crashed whilst rendering overlay

What was the issue?

ok so
basically the modpack i had it on i had been fiddling with for a long time
so there were a bunch of config files and some other files from old mods that i had deleted
so i moved all the mods onto a new completely clean installation
and boom then it worked
it was surprisingly simple lol. thank u to everybody that helped me
