game crashes when i try to use DH with shaders
optifine, iris, oculus, nothing works. i am using 1.20.1 forge

you need either oculus or iris. optifine will not work
the game loads fine without shaders with DH
you use iris if you are using fabric, and oculus for forge
i cant find iris for forge
but oculus has not worked

no, i think it says that because iirc embeddium is a fork of rubidium. but everything embeddium needs will be included if you install just embeddium
so just delete rubidium and youre good

yes, the higher the setting the more cpu distant horizons will use for stuff like generating new chunks or updating existing chunks

before i downloaded the dev version from the discord, when i was using the version i got online it worked w no shaders, no oculus. but now i have both oculus and the dh from the discord

it was a combination of the alex caves mod issue and the fact i had a bunch of other mods that werent compatible, i am now down to just 14 mods that i need and it works fine even with 256 view distance and shaders
the alex caves config and whatever else i deleted
